An ongoing rebrand for Stof Studios, a much loved, independent product design studio. Established in 2018, Stof has grown to be stocked in stores globally, adopted by influencers and has expanded its product offering beyond jewellery, to homewares and accessories.
The challenge for Stof Studios is the increase in competitor brands selling similar but lower quality products at a cheaper price point. Stof Studio’s needed to communicate its uniqueness, craft and Australian made designs. The brand lacked cut through and cohesion. The branding and identity needed to be elevated to increase profitability, awareness and customer loyalty.
The updated brand has become as confident as the products, with a strong, joyful, brand message and alignment across all touch points. It celebrates Stof Studios core values of: inclusivity, playfulness and the unconventional.
The bespoke typography of ‘Stof’ encapsulates the artistry and craft that goes into the making process of the products. It’s bold, confident, and celebrates a charming love of life. It’s unapologetic and joyful. ‘Stof’ is the hero of the story.
The letters are carefully placed and sized to give a feeling of movement and harmony. They encapsulate the curvaceousness of the brand and products without literally showing them.
The iconography takes direct inspiration from the abstract shapes used within the product designs to create the building blocks of a visual identity for the brand. The rounded shapes are feminine, optimistic and unified. They work together and interchangeably to create a seamless style. They are workable assets which can be used as borders, icons and patterns to amplify the brand across every piece of artwork.
As the brand grows and new products are launched that deserve a higher price point, Stof Studios new branding suggests uniqueness and has a premium and professional quality while retaining it’s sense of fun.
